From the Pacific Crest Trail for those looking for a longer hiking experience, to local day hikes, the Eastern Sierra has a plethora of trails to choose from. Drive up to Saddlebag Lake and take the ferry across to the glaciers, or enjoy a jaunt up to Duck Lake. Make sure, in any recreational activity, to bring lots of water and take it easy. The altitude is definitely a factor up here at 8,000 feet and higher.

For more hiking information check with the Welcome Center on Main Street or at www.visitmammoth.com. You can also call Tourism and Recreation at (760) 934-2712.
