It ain’t
called Mammoth Lakes for nothing. With hundreds of alpine
lakes at your fingertips, the Eastern Sierra is a fisherperson’s
dream. Trout are the name of the game, and with fish on a
regular stocking schedule up and down the 395, every drop
of the line is almost guaranteed to be a winner. The Lakes
Basin is a great place to get started, but don’t forget
the June Lake Loop a bit further up the road with four additional
lakes to fish, and great hospitality.
Guided tours for both fly-fishing and bait fishing are available.
For more fishing information check with us or the Welcome
Center, located at the entrance to town on Main Street or
at www.visitmammoth.com. You can also call Tourism and Recreation
at (760) 934-2712.
